Our Confidentiality Obligation
At Serrix, we know how important the protection of your personal information is. We want all our customers – online or in person – to be able to shop with us safely and reliably. In accordance with that purpose, we have developed this confidentiality policy, which outlines our guidelines for the collection and use of personal information by Serrix.
Who is Serrix?
This policy applies to Serrix BV, and all its departments.
What information is collected by Serrix and how is it used?
At Serrix, we collect two types of information: personal information and non-personal information.
With your consent, we may use your personal information for a number of different purposes, including to:

  • fulfill requests for products, services or information;
  • provide customer service;
  • administer contests or promotions;
  • offer new products and services;
  • measure and improve the effectiveness of our websites or our marketing efforts; tailor our online or in-store offers to your preferences.

We may also collect and summarize customer information for statistical purposes, in a format from which individual data can no longer be traced.
Personal information includes in particular your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. You can always choose not to provide us with any personal information. However, if you choose to do so, we may not be able to provide you with the products, service or information you require. Non-personal information cannot be traced back to you as an individual. For example, your zip code helps us to plan our product distribution.
Your implied consent
In some cases, your consent is implied if we ask you to provide personal information for a stated purpose. For example, we can only deliver the product you have purchased if you have provided us with your address and telephone number.
Your express consent
In other cases, we will ask you to give your explicit consent to use your personal information to advise you on products or services that may be of interest to you. You always have the option to “opt out” of your information being used for this purpose. For example, if you subscribe to the Serrix newsletter, we will also ask you for your explicit consent to send promotional information.
Withdrawing your consent
If you have ‘opted in’ or have subscribed to one of our newsletters or mailing lists, we always offer you the option to ‘opt out’ or unsubscribe. For example, every email we send you will contain information about how you can opt-out of receiving further emails.

Example of collected information

Participate in a contest, promotion, or survey
From time to time we may conduct contests, promotions or surveys. If you participate, you may be asked to provide contact information and additional optional survey information (for example, product preferences). Information from contest entries will be used to contact you if you win. We may also summarize the information from surveys in such a way that contest participants are no longer recognizable in an analysis, but we will not disseminate the personal information from registrations. Rules apply to all contests and are available with each individual contest.
Information Serrix collects automatically
Like many other websites, we automatically collect certain non-personal information about website users that does not identify you. Examples include the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, the IP address of your Internet Service Provider, the date and time you access the website, the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to the website, the operating system you use, the parts of the website you visit, the pages of the website that are read and the images that are viewed, as well as the content that you have downloaded from the website. This non-personal information is used for website and system administration purposes and to improve the website.

Tracking Information
We may use non-personal information to compile reports containing tracking information, which includes website user demographics, website traffic patterns, and website purchases, and then provide those reports to advertisers and others. The tracking information in the reports cannot be linked in any way
